Instructor’s Manual
Comprehensive Instructor’s Manual
This Instructor’s Manual is intended to help you use Convention Sales & Services to the fullest. Its various sections can be used to help you organize the course before classes begin, teach the course either by lecture or discussion, and, finally, evaluate your students’ knowledge through testing.
What's Inside Each Chapter:

Chapter Overview
A brief summary of the chapter’s major thrust.

Suggested Lecture Outline
A comprehensive outline of the most important points in each chapter serves as an excellent base for preparing lectures.

Test Questions
A sample bank of quiz questions.

Class Activities
To supplement your classroom presentation, each chapter offers suggestions for possible guest speakers, audiovisual materials (with addresses for securing), and individual or group work activities. These teaching aids are helpful in providing students with additional information and viewpoints on the convention and meetings industry.

Powerpoint Presentations
A complete set of Powerpoint slides is also provided for each chapter. These presentations include a comprehensive overview of each chapter, including many of the text exhibits, and can be shown “as is” or customized to meet the needs of the individual instructor.

Case Studies and Solutions
In addition, several Case Studies and their solutions are provided to supplement material presented, and student handouts are included to stimulate critical thinking and class discussion.

Sample Midterm and Final Examinations
Two comprehensive examinations are presented; the midterm covers Part I on Convention Sales (Chapters 1-9), the final examination covers Part II on Convention Services (Chapters 10-18). Each examination is presented in two versions: an instructor’s version that provides answers and page references and an additional copy that can be produced for use in your classroom.
